A husband-and-wife business supplying and fitting floors across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and the Cotswolds. When you call, one of us answers. Sam oversees everything from start to finish.
Sam trained as a carpenter and has laid floors for most of his working life. He measures your rooms, helps you choose the boards, prepares the subfloor and fits the floor alongside our team of experienced installers.
He is fussy about the parts nobody sees: a level subfloor, a herringbone set out from the middle of the room, skirting scribed down to the boards. A floor should be fitted properly once and then left alone for thirty years.
How we get it perfect every time“Throughout the process, he listened to any questions or concerns we had, and he was more than happy to help with any follow-up items. Add to that he's just a lovely person.”Niels Leadholm · Google review
Laura's background is in sales and customer care. She handles everything around the fitting: your first message, booking Sam's visit, getting samples to you, fixing the installation dates and checking in afterwards.
If you email or ring, it is Laura you get. She will keep you posted without you having to chase, and nobody will try to sell you anything you did not ask about.
How a consultation worksHaving a family is a big part of why we wanted a business of our own, and it changes how we run it. We know what a hallway looks like with a pushchair, a scooter and muddy shoes in it, so when we recommend a floor for a family home we are speaking from experience.
When we are not measuring up or on a job, the four of us are usually outside somewhere.
The person who quotes is the person who fits. Sam has seen your floor before he prices it.
If a floor is wrong for your house, we will tell you, even if it is the one you had your heart set on.
We supply the boards and fit them, so if anything is not right there is one phone number to call.
We tidy up properly. It is your home and we are guests in it.
